British police are being asked to help Portuguese detectives gather evidence from the home of Madeleine McCann's parents, Sky News has learned. A judge in Portugal has signed a warrant which will enable British officers to go to Gerry and Kate McCann's four-bedroom house in Rothley, Leicestershire. It is thought officers could visit the two 39-year-old doctors this morning. Sources close to the investigation said police want to examine Mrs McCann's private diary and Mr McCann's laptop computer for clues. Mr McCann took the laptop with him when the family flew home from Portugal on Sunday, and has used it to write his regular blog on the Find Madeleine website.
