Former British Police Chief (and TV Reporter...) “investigating” at Praia da Luz

Daily Star reports that “a British team led by Chief Supt Chris Stevenson, 56, who snared Soham child killer Ian Huntley, is also investigating in Portugal.” It seems that they are not investigating, but working as reporters for a TV Channel, as the Daily Star wrote: “Their work will go out on Channel 4’s Dispatches on Thursday, October 18.” A list of other former british policemen that helped to destroy the reputation of Portuguese Police can be found here.

People from the UK shouldn't feel ashamed... it's only the government and the media ... people in the UK are all right and have common sense ... these are exceptions ...

Police in Portugal are trawling through a newly-seized hoard of child pornography for pictures of Madeleine McCann, it emerged last night.

The files were found on 150 computers taken from 80 suspects in raids across the country which smashed a major paedophile ring.

Though Operation Predator was not formally linked to the Madeleine inquiry, officers will alert detectives searching for the four-year-old if pictures which could be her are found.

A complete waste of time but we are short of news in the UK now the election has been cancelled.

I hope Portuguese journalists are in London en masse reporting on the inquest into Charles de Menezes' brutal assasination by British special forces.

I also hope that anyone who is disgusted by the actions of the British government will boycott all things British (granted I cannot think of any exports but they must have some?) and not holiday in the UK.

Also, boycottt all things Virgin (Branson) and of course anything owned by Murdock.

'I AM Madeleine's natural father': Gerry McCann hits back at Portuguese slurs
'I AM Madeleine's natural father': Gerry McCann hits back at Portuguese slursGerry McCann was today forced to insist he is Madeleine's natural father after shocking claims in the Portuguese media that she is not his biological daughter. The press claimed Madeleine's 'real' father had been tracked down through a sperm bank.

To P. Shepherd - don't feel ashamed to be British. What's happening is, there's a huge gulf now between the British political & media establishment and us ordinary Brits. Newspaper circulation has nose-dived and is 50% of the level about 15 years ago. Fewer people watch established news channels and most customers have deserted Virgin Media. Most of us now read blogs & watch you tube for news. Newspapers only stay in business as they give out free CDs everyday. McCannites may spin the news, but no one's listening. God bless Paulo Reis and keep up the good work.

I am not intending to defend British culture of covering things up, however Channel 4 normaly does a fair coverage of the matters, so we should wait and see what their programm is going to be about.

McCanns say they want to collaborate with the police and to return to Portugal, but they chose not to answer questions, to travel around the world when police was following credible clues in Malta and Belgium, and to have a defensive lawyer expert in avoiding extradition. Now Gerry has the “feeling” that the presumable abductor was hiding, and Kate saw a footprint … none mentioned to the police… Before we know of any forensic results and details, the granny is already explaining that the abductor would have drugged the child… that they think DNA could belong to the twins (something checkable) and that dogs scented garbage … And then we ask ourselves what are these so expensive dogs good for if they cannot distinguish household garbage from cadaver scent. Kate said the police “offered her a deal to confess”, but this cannot happen under Portuguese law. Are we to believe that police would put carriers at risk in face of her defense lawyer?

Good… the more incongruence we hear from the McCann’s team … the surer we become that there is something to hide. No one fully innocent would let this circus of public exposure go on unless in the hope to have his/her image cleared.

Spinning takes for granted that British people easily buy Portuguese incompetence. It’s McScams defense strategy. But people are not stupid. What most of us see (Portuguese and British alike) is a bunch of contradictory statements and juvenile excuses coming from someone clearly in a defensive position without being yet charged of anything.

For some reason what we mostly hear is ex-something “foolish” opinions… paid? We have a strong suspicious. By apparently protecting the McCanns and by apparently misinforming us, some press is in fact informing us and a lot!!!!! A lie is difficult to maintain
