Leicester Police asked to question McCann's friends

Detectives in charge of Madeleine's case criticised, yesterday, Leicester Police, because of the delay in questioning several of the McCann friends. Portuguese authorities sent a formal request to Leicester, asking local police to question Jane Tanner, Russell O'Brien, Diane Webster, David Payne and other members of the so called Tapas Group. The questioning is considered important for the investigation, following the last developments, after the final batch of analysis were sent to Portugal by Forensic Science Service.

"Mission impossible"

The McCanns threaten now the PJ with an impossible mission. To find Maddie whom they have so carelessly and in every imaginable way neglected !!
Why hasnt the British Police questioned de Tapas Group earlier? They are not argüidos and they are British citizens. Why is de British Police so 'uninterested'?

The Tapas Group was questioned twice by Portuguese Police. But it was before the results of the analysis from Forensic Science Service arrive in Portugal and before August 11, when Police announced they had a new line of inquiry...

Paulo, I assume the results from te Forensic Science Services that you are referring to were the ones the the FFS claim the Portuguese police grossly misinterpreted and misrepresented... the same results PJ claim to be a 100% match to Madeleine's DNA which was a lie...the same results they claimed would prove 100% that Madeleine had been heavily sedated, another lie. Seems like the only thing the Portuguese are skilled at is in the art of lying.

No. The results I refer are those mentioned in this story of The Times:
“The McCanns’ efforts to fight police leaks about scientific evidence said to prove that they had some hand in their daughter’s death saw the couple criticised yesterday by the English organisation analysing samples seized from the scene of Madeleine’s disappearance and the family hire car. The Forensic Science Service is frustrated that DNA examinations they have carried out for the Portuguese police were being rubbished by the publicity campaign launched by the McCanns.”

It was Mr. Martin Brunt who claimed that a 100% match to Madeleine's DNA has been found. Any trainne at a forensic laboratory can tell you that a 100 % match doesn’t exist. In fact, the following day, Mr. Martin Brunt confessed, on air, that his story “was burned out” – a great moment in Television !!!!

The director of Portuguese CID said, on a TV interview, two hours after Mr. Martin Brunt attempted that new manipulation, that the Sky News story was utterly false

Tell me, now the Forensic Science Service is no more the best British Forensic Laboratory? And, by the way, if you forgot who collected those samples send to FSS and the evidence that changed the line of inquiry, let me help you:

Good answer Paulo!

If the McCanns are so sure Maddie was abducted they should offer the whole Findmadeleine fund as reward and not use it to pay the press !
