Private investigators hired by the McCann are being investigated by the Polícia Judiciária department of Faro for suspected extortion and attempted murder, according to Correio da Manhã. The case involves a former inmate who was paid by detectives from Método 3 to give informations that he allegedly obtained, while in jail, from João Cipriano, the uncle of Joana Cipriano.
